Spring Stainless Steel Strips
Grades:
Our company supplies spring stainless steel strips of various grades in accordance with EN and ASTM/AISI standards. The typical grades are EN 1.4310 (AISI 301), 1.4301(AISI 304), 1.4404 (AISI 316L).
Tolerances:
The normal thickness and width tolerances of spring stainless steel strips are regulated by DIN/EN 9445/1 (formerly DIN/EN 10258).
They can also be supplied with narrower thickness tolerances. In such cases, we co-operate with our partner cold rolling mills to reach the thickness tolerance required.
Spring steel strips can also be produced with a tighter width tolerance (as low as 0.01 mm for instance ). This can be important for some high-tech applications.
Surface Finish and Mechanical Properties:
Normally, spring stainless strips have a 2H finish.
We can provide customized cold rolling of coils to our customers during which the required mechanical parameters like tensile strength and elongation can be achieved.
Edges of strips:
- We supply spring stainless steel strips with the following edges:
- Normal slit edge
- Very low burr (less than 5% of strip thickness)
- De-burred edge
- Rounded edge
Dimensions:
Our thickness range for spring stainless strips goes from 0.05 mm to 1.0 mm.
Our minimum width is 3 mm and the maximum is normally 650 mm, but we can also supply wide tempered stainless steel strips (coils) with a width up to 1250 mm.
Inner Diameters of Coils :
The typical inner diameters are 300 mm, 400 mm, 508 mm.
On request, it is also possible to supply strips with inner diameters of 200 mm, 250 mm or even non-standard customized inner diameters.
