Precision Stainless Steel Strips
Grades:
Our company supplies precision stainless steel strips of various grades in accordance with EN and ASTM/AISI standards. The most common grades are listed in the section "alloys".
Tolerances:
Normally, thickness and width tolerances of stainless steel strips are regulated by DIN EN 9445-2 and 9445-1 for precision strips.
If our customers require stricter tolerances we will co-operate with our cold rolling mill partner to provide the requested thickness tolerance.
For high tech applications, we are also able to supply tighter width tolerances than required by the standard (for instance as low as 0.01 mm).
Surface Finish and Mechanical Properties:
Normally, precision strips have a 2R (BA) finish.
The mechanical properties are regulated by EN and ASTM standards. However, we can also fulfill our customers' needs for precision strips with special mechanical properties. In such cases, we provide customized cold rolling of coils, during which the required mechanical parameters such as tensile strength and elongation can be achieved.
Edge of strips:
We supply precision stainless steel strips with the following edges:
- Normal slit edge
- Very low burr (< 5% of the thickness)
- Deburred edge
- Rounded edge
- Custom edges
Dimensions:
Our thickness range for precision strips is from 0.05 mm to 1.0 mm. Our minimum width is 3 mm. The maximal width of precision strips is normally about 650 mm. We can also supply coils of precision stainless steel strip only 0.05 mm thick with a width up to 1250 mm.
Inner Diameters of Coils:
Typical inner diameters are 300 mm, 400 mm, 508 mm.
Upon request, we can offer coils with inner diameters of 200 mm, 250 mm or even non-standard customized inner diameters.
